What does logistics mean to you personally?
To me, logistics means offering our customers a solution that addresses their supply chain challenges and provides them with real added value. Ideally, this allows them to focus fully on their core business.

In your opinion, what makes ECL special?
ECL listens to and understands its customers’ needs. Close dialogue and transparent communication are particularly important in this regard. We keep our customers well informed at all times and work together to develop tailor-made solutions.

What motivates you in your day-to-day work?
I am motivated by the wide range of issues that logistics at the port interface with the various modes of transport presents, as well as the solution-oriented collaboration with an outstanding team and with customers and partners on an equal footing.

Where do you see ECL in the next five years?
ECL will continue to establish itself as a provider of multimodal, intermodal and sustainable logistics solutions in Lübeck. The high quality of our customer service will remain our key differentiating factor.

What role does intermodal transport play in the company’s long-term strategy?
I see a clear trend towards further standardisation of transport units in Baltic Sea shipping. At the same time, demand for sustainable solutions is growing, and the shortage of drivers will remain a key challenge. Against this backdrop, ECL will continue to grow significantly in the intermodal transport sector.
