First Super Jumbo-Reel loaded via Rostock
Paper reels with a width of 4m were handled via our branch in Rostock for the first time in October. Discharging of the vessel MS Vasaland was regarded as master class. The first Super-Jumbo-Reel to be transported in this area had a width of 4.056 mm and 4.290 mm.
The average weight of a Super-Jumbo-Reel is around 6.0 to. In order to ensure safe and secure handling the company Papier-Lager & Umschlagsgesellschaft mbH (PLU) acquired a highly modern 4 arm clamp fork-lift truck. These trucks are able to handle reels with a weight of up to 7.0to successfully.
The Super-Jumbo-Reel was loaded onto a wagon and delivered to a major German printer without a scratch.
