Lunchtime donation for Order of Saint John (Johanniter)
Christmas is ringing in once again. It is the season of giving. This year once more, instead of spending money on presents for clients, ECL have decided that it is the time for good deeds, and to support those people who are currently in a difficult situation with a financial donation.
The entire staff at ECL wants to take the opportunity to assist a regional project with this money. As a result of strong commitment to the local community, we have decided this year to make a donation to the Order of Saint John (Johanniter) lunch table in the IN VIA-Mädchentreff.
This is where disadvantaged young girls between 11 and 16 years of age are given a warm lunch on a daily basis. Extension and assistance with homework, support and advice to cope with everyday life is also provided.
The three children`s centres are open to all girls regardless of background or ability. Many of them have a backgorund of migration and come from socially disadvantaged families.
Managing Director Jörg Ullrich and his personnel representative Ursel Steen were greeted by the children with a "GIANT HELLO" „We are really very happy! Our lunchtable can carry on as before“, according to Head of Pedagogics, Petra Liekfeldt.
