The transport of heavy loads and oversize cargos is in good hands with us. One of our latest activities in this specialised logistics sector was the transport of a Meridian Yacht. Owing to the dimensions (11.00 x 3.82 x 4.39 ), the transport required official clearance in advance.The dimensions were not important for the authorisation but rather for the specialised equipment required. The yacht was transported on an Articulated Low-Bed Trailer.
The total height of the transport was 4.60 metres, this required the maximum lowering of the trailer in order to carry the yacht. The transport had a police escort in the cities of Bremerhaven and Luebeck and a special escort vehicle from Bremerhaven to Luebeck, and was permitted only between a period from 22:00 to 06:00 hrs.
The yacht was successfully transported without any incidents to Luebeck and sent on to St. Petersburg by ship.
