ECL becomes Railport-Partner!
As a result Lübeck is now a port location particularly well-suited for multi-modal transport services. ECL offers its customers, independent of their own track infrastructure or swap bodies, a single source, track-based door-to-door logistics service.
With this new service, ECL and the LHG now offer comprehensive product distribution in north Germany and multi-modal transport with ECL delivery in northern Europe. Care is taken to ensure optimal railcar flows and at the same time to have enough empty railcars available in Lübeck for transport.
Railports ensure unified multi-modal logistics in Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands and Italy as well as in Switzerland, France and Spain. The network is constantly being expanded and additional locations added both at home and abroad.
Railports are served by regular shuttle transport. These ensure the fastest possible circulation of railcars and do not exclude the possibility of systematic return loading. Both contribute substantially to the economy and reliability of transport logistics.
Railports are designed as multi-purpose logistics centres for the handling of a wide variety of goods – packed or unpacked, palleted or bulk cargo. The appropriate technical equipment is available for this purpose, whatever the requirements are, from fork lifts to cranes.
Railports ensure careful, efficient product handling along the rail, road and ship transport chain. Handling can be direct, alternatively goods can however also be stored for on-transport as required.
